Assembly in English for World Children’s Day

On the occasion of World Children’s Day, several activities were held, including the Special Assembly in English, where students read out Malala Yousafzai’s story in parts, mainly her early days, her activism and the day of the shooting. Other students held up posters with pictures of Malala and some of her quotes.

Students were left with a cliff-hanger and then encouraged to satisfy their curiosity and look up information about Malala. For those who have no internet access, the rest of her stories together with photos and some of her quotes, were set up on a notice board in the corridor.

A commemorative bookmark, with one of Malala’s quotes, was distributed to all students. The bookmark bears the saying: “I don’t mind if I have to sit on the floor at school. All I want is Education. And I’m afraid of no one.”
